My psychological sickness

News flash. Apparently I have a psychological sickness. At least that term came up in a comment on an old tractor forum after I posted a link to a video I made of a walking tour through some of my old iron that has accumulated  over  the years. The majority liked the video just fine but one individual obviously has a whole different view of keeping anything old around. Apparently a "normal person" would scrap, burn, or bury anything old that is no longer producing a profit or serving a useful purpose.
Of course this is the land of the somewhat free and I guess as long as I am paying the taxes on the land I will populate it with whatever old iron strikes my fancy. In fact , I'm planning to add to it! Sick? Maybe. But I'm enjoying  it.

  1. One man's treasure is another man's junk, as the saying goes. My husband's family's farmyard has been the repository of old machinery and vehicles for decades and to me that makes it a junkyard that someone else, someday, will have to clean up. For them, though, it's fond memories and ... fond memories. I try to get my husband to litter his old vehicles, trailers, etc., out of my vision (on our property) but so far he's not respecting my wishes. My next husband will like keeping me happy, and ballroom dancing. Peel me a grape, baby ... :) -Kate

    1. Lol, good luck with that Kate. You know its not much trying to change a man. Or a woman for that matter.

    2. You've got THAT right, my boy. People DO change, but they only do it on their own.
My taller half actually took dance classes with me "when love was new." Now I can't get him onto the dance floor before he's drank enough to put my toes in danger. See now, that's a change for the *worse* ... but sometimes there's change for the better, too. Can't discount that. -Kate

  2. LOL - I'll take a dozen guys like you over one unappreciative, anal retentive fellow like that, Ralph! People like him are why the "city fathers" have torn down all our historic buildings in town, so they could make parking lots and put up ugly concrete boxes.

  3. Thanks Gorges, I hear so many times the comment, "I had one just like that. Wish I still had it". Well I do still have it.

    1. I liked your video walking the woods. Got a lot of family history that could not be delivered without the backdrop.
