Swathing Oats 2018

Riding along with me in the John Deere 2360 swather while I swath oats. Or windrow if you prefer. They turned out pretty good considering what little rain we got this year. I still don't have the IH combine back together but then the crop is not ready to combine for a while either.

  2. I don't suppose you have any way to do the wheat sections separately and feed the stuff yourself.

    1. Pretty well impossible Gorges. I'll just hope that the overall sample comes up at less than 3% wheat.

  4. Nice crop of oats. Will the volunteer wheat give a high dockage?
Should be alright for cattle feed.
My soybeans are just turning color and look very good. Price in in the cellar though.

    1. I think if there is over 3% wheat they will downgrade the oats. Which of course hurts the price.
