Remembrance Day 2018

This was the hundredth anniversary of the end of the first World War. As is often the case, November 11th 2018 was a cold and winter like day. During today's service, at the eleventh hour, we rang the bell 11 times. This is the former Church bell from Lipton's St. Michael and all angels Anglican Church. The Church is long gone and the bell now stands on a new tower. The brass bell is inscribed and dedicated to the first world war soldiers. Dated 1919.

  1. I would say the attendance at the Remembrance day services is as good or better than ever here. The Legion works hard to spread the word.

  2. Kinda looks like all our old Saskatchewan village halls were built the same! This could almost be in Margo.

In this video, your commentary reminds me of the guy who's gone around the province making videos of all the villages and small towns. You sound so much like him! -Kate

    1. Thanks Kate. I guess Sask. town halls of a certain vintage do resemble each other. I really do need to work on my voice overs for the video.

This YouTube vid only shows the stage at the Margo Hall. I was hoping it would give more of the whole room from the back, like your picture does. Alas, no.
